OUR COFFEE

START OF DAYS

Origin:   Ethiopia

District:   Yirgacheffe

Process:   Full natural

Elevation:   2000-2200 meters above sea level

“Start of Days” is a personal favorite, and it’s our number one best-seller. Deeply intricate, this Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is bursting with those fruity, juicy, berry notes that we love in high-quality African coffees. Tasting notes include blueberry, ripe apricot, jackfruit, and honeysuckle. We love it as a drip or french-press coffee, but it makes for a wild single-origin espresso too. Your days are precious—start yours with something special.

Little blue house

Origin:   Guatemala

Region:   Lake Atitlan

Process:   Fully washed

Elevation:   1800-2000 meters above sea level

“Little Blue House” starts its story on the volcanic mountain slopes near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. The volcanic soil, coupled with the constant irrigation coming from lake breezes, provide perfect coffee-growing conditions. The coffee cherries are hand-picked, depulped, naturally fermented, and then sun dried. We carefully roast this coffee to bring out its natural sweetness. Look for notes of almond, caramel, cocoa nibs, and molasses.

Dark Matter

Origin:   Nicaragua

Region:   Nueva Segovia

Process:   Fully washed

Elevation:   1150-1300 meters above sea level

“Dark Matter” is a real crowd pleaser. It hails from a small family-owned farm in the volcanic mountains of Nicaragua. Relatively low acid and easy to drink, we love it for its deep chocolatey richness. You may also pick up notes of brown sugar, star anise, nutmeg, and jasmine.

This blend is carefully designed specifically for use as an espresso. But it’s really good on drip or as a cold-brew, too!
